6th April 2008 The Dame Past Queen Malka Elvin “ Ratling of the Year Award”. This very special award was set up by Dame Malka in 1993 to honour a Ratling for outstanding services to the G.O.L.R. The 2007 recipient, Scribe Ratling P.Q. Sharon Maxim presents the refurbished plaque to 1st Guard Billy Roper, the new Ratling of the Year for 2008.

		25th November 2007 Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London Queen Beryl was a Top Table Guest at the Water Rats Ball. The evenings Star Cabaret Tony Christie, was surely not asking Queen Beryl “Is this the way to Amarillo” the hit record that kept him in the charts for 13 weeks.

It was not surprising that the Stars turned out for Queen Ratling Beryl’s Ball. As a double act, Tom & Beryl have been in show biz for many years and have shared the Bills with some of our greatest stars such as; The Beatles, Max Bygraves, Arthur Askey, Johnny Ray, Dickie Henderson, Morecambe & Wise to name just a few.

		Queen’s Guest of Honour for the evening was the lovely Actress Emma Samms, Val Doonican, Queen B., her handsome Consort, Husband Water Rat Tom Plummer, Lynn Doonican and Alan Rogers.

16th September 2007 Hydro Active Fun Run, Hyde Park, London Queen B….Queen Beryl Plummer and her vigorous Sister Ratlings take to Hyde Park for yet another “Fun Run” in aid of the GOLR’s Cup of Kindness Charity.

The Grand Order of Water Rats “Tribute Lunch” to Dame Vera Lynn on her 90th Birthday.Queen Ratling Beryl presented Ratling Dame Vera with a crystal stand, on behalf of the GOLR.

		With so many Lady Ratlings attending this splendid function it was an ideal opportunity also for the Ratlings to present Queen Beryl with a replacement “Queens Brooch” for one that was lost in 2006. Preceptor P.Q. Sharon Maxim proudly pinned the brooch on Queen Ratling Beryl.

This year recipient was Preceptor P.Q. Sharon Maxim. After the announcement and to a standing ovation, P.Q. Sharon was presented with the award by B.O.M. Mel Tillman. Mel remains enthusiastically involved in this, his late wife’s Award.

as did “The Master of Dance” the one and only Wayne Sleep.

Queen Ratling Val Fontaine hosted a superb evening at the Royal Lancaster Hotel with her Consort Water Rat Udo Fontaine. 		2004 O.B.E. at Buckingham Palace O.B.E. Honours for our Sister Ratling…. Sonia Meaden for her contribution to Tourism and Charity. Sonia with two of her four beautiful daughters Gail (on left) husband Brian and Cass. The two other girls Deborah and Emma were treated to a Literary at the Dorchester with Joannah Lumley and William Haigh before they all got together for the celebrations.

November 24th 2004 Plasterers Hall, London Wall. Queen Marsha Rae organised "A Special Royal Luncheon" with HRH Prince Phillip in aid of the G.O.L.R's "Cup of Kindness" and "The Variety Club of Great Britain". HRH Prince Phillip, Queen Ratling Marsha Rae and John Ratcliff, are three of the most tireless workers for Charity.

GOLR Annual Ball, "ROARING BACK TO THE TWENTIES"

American born Queen Ratling Marsha Rae Ratcliff adds a touch of her native country to the 2004 Ball Cabaret, with a wonderful cast from the West End Show "Chicago". Also on the bill was the great singer and dancer Michael Danso, who flew in from the USA especially for his friend Marsha Rae. The dress code for the evening was obviously "The Roaring Twenties".

	Queen Marsha Rae is absolutely thrilled when Gloria Hunniford announces that Consort John has flown her Son Larry and Daughter Teresa in from the USA as a special surprise.

September 12th 2004 A famous Policeman opens the Lady Ratlings Annual Bazaar at "Roswyn". Water Rat Graham Cole alias P.C. 		September 5th 2004 Eleven sporting Lady Ratlings take on a challenge in Hyde Park, to raise funds for their "Cup of Kindness" Charity in "The Flora Light Challenge for Women 2004". 		Queen Marsha Rae Ratcliff, HRH Prince Michael and Dame Vera Lynn perform the ancient ceremony of the Loving Cup, which related on this occasion to the Ratlings Cup of Kindness. A replica was later presented to the Royal couple.

June 16th 2004 A G.O.L.R. Dame ship, is the Order's way of acknowledging a Member who over many years has been a wonderful advocate for the Grand Order of Lady Ratlings. 13th May 2001 The GOLR’s “Cup of Kindness” Spring Party The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. Queen Sharon’s “Star Cabaret” was International Singer/Songwriter Gerard Kenny. Sharon and Gerard come from similar backgrounds, they both come from musical families, and they both started their singing careers at a very early age, appearing in shows with their Dads.
