The evening started with the “walk in “of Queen Ratling, her Consort Rabbi Neil and guests of honour Christopher Biggins and Cilla Black.

Followed by the Anthem, and to the surprise of all the Ratlings, the GOLR’s very own Trumpeter, still recovering from an operation, came on and played so wonderfully that she got a standing ovation. The lady in question, the brilliant musician, P.O. Joan Hind.
